Bulgaria Busts 16 Illegal Immigrants from Afghanistan, Iraq, Algeria

Bulgaria's Border Police has busted a total of 16 illegal immigrants from as far as Afghanistan, Iraq, and Algeria. 13 men were arrested late Tuesday night near the southwestern Bulgarian town of Petrich after they went around the Bulgaria-Greece border crossing point at Kulata-Promachonas, the Interior Ministry announced. Eight of them are Afghans, three are Iraqis, and one is Algerian....

Bulgaria Detains 6 Illegal Immigrants Hidden in Pipes (Novinite.com)

Six illegal immigrants ? five Iraqis and one Turkish citizen ? were found hidden in pipes during a customs check in Plovdiv Thursday. The six men aged between 20 and 30 were hiding in a truck transporting pipes with large diameter from Turkey to Bulgaria.
